The aim of this course is to gain a deeper understanding of the design and implementation of web applications (e.g., using Python), JavaScript, and SQL. Specific frameworks may be used. Topics include database design, scalability, security, and user experience. Through practical projects, students learn to write and use APIs, and to create interactive user interfaces. Engineering students will thus gain experience with the principles, languages, and tools needed to design and deploy applications on the Internet.
