Acquis d'apprentissage visés

  • Briefly describe the 9 planetary boundaries and identify their interconnections.
  • Describe the causes and consequences of global warming based on IPCC (and other institutions such as the HCC) reports. Explain and illustrate the concepts of adaptation and mitigation.
  • Describe the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss based on IPBES reports. Cite and illustrate key ecosystem services.
  • Identify the impacts of the dominant economic model on global resources (mineral resources, water, biomass, energy).
  • Cite the main stages in the emergence of CSR, sustainable development, and the SDGs. Identify social and societal challenges of sustainable development and locate the corresponding SDGs.
  • Demonstrate how an organization can act on each SDG.
  • Identify types of organizations with positive social, societal, or environmental impact (social and solidarity economy organizations — ESS, solidarity-based utility companies — ESUS, mission-driven companies).
  • Analyze key governance models (stakeholders, objectives, decision-making processes) in light of economic, social, societal, and environmental challenges of sustainable development.

  1. Biodiversity loss: IPBES reports, ecosystem services, and human dependence on living systems.
  1. Natural resources and the dominant economic model: extraction, pressures on water, biomass, minerals, and energy.
  1. History and structuring of sustainable development: CSR, SD, SDGs, and associated social/societal challenges.
  1. Organizations’ actions on the SDGs: levers, strategic coherence, operational integration.
  1. Discovering impact organizations: ESS, ESUS, mission-driven companies, and alternative models.
  1. Governance and decision-making: analyzing organizational models in light of economic, social, societal, and environmental challenges.
