General English (press and media) + business English (TOEIC)

Prérequis

  • Basic grammatical and lexical skills at B1+ level (main tenses, modals, logical connectors).
  • Ability to understand the general idea of a simple text or oral message.
  • Skills in quick note-taking and selection of relevant information.
  • Ability to write a structured paragraph (main idea + examples).
  • Ability to participate in a short oral exchange (questions, reformulations, clarification).

Programme

  • LC/RC (TOEIC B2): targeted training using authentic audio/text extracts; identification of explicit and implicit information; regular mini-tests.
  • WP/OI (CLES B2): drafting professional emails and memos; brief meeting simulations (explanation, justification, negotiation).
  • Media and business English: analysis of articles/press releases; short summaries; structured presentation of a news item.
  • Integrated task (CLES type): completion of a short mission (analysis, information selection, written summary + structured oral presentation).
  • Technical and scientific English: understanding of technical notices/texts; simplified summary of 150–200 words for a non-specialist.
