The aim of this course is to provide an in-depth understanding of project management, covering its various phases from definition to closure, while emphasizing planning, risk management, team building, and operational monitoring.

Acquis d'apprentissage visés

Be able to successfully lead a project as a project manager:

  • Know how to define and negotiate the project objective.
  • Know how to manage a project team.
  • Know how to prepare the project (task breakdown, planning, identification of constraints and risks, cost assessment).
  • Know how to execute the project (implementation, monitoring and control of risks/quality/costs; communication management; deadline tracking).
  • Know how to close a project (delivery, team dismantling management, lessons learned).

  • Project preparation

I. Defining the project in broad terms – The project charter

  • Objectives (Technical objectives, Deadline objectives, Cost objectives, Objective hierarchy).
  • The technique (Main difficulties, Contingency solution).
  • The schedule (Brief) Key dates
  • Resources (Human, Material).
  • Project management (Project manager, Project team).
  • Communication (Internal, External with suppliers)

II. Setting up the project team; III. Performing task breakdowns; IV. Identifying constraints and risks; V. Conducting planning; VI. Estimating costs.

  • Project execution (implementation and monitoring)
