This first subject is an application dedicated to immersing students in a project management situation. It will focus on the strategic analysis of a Reunionese identity sector related to roasted food products such as cocoa, and on identifying the key factors affecting its activity. This project will be carried out in student groups.

Acquis d'apprentissage visés

  • To master technical resources and tools related to project management;
  • To be able to communicate and present a project in English;
  • To know how to conduct a strategic analysis;
  • To be able to formalize project objectives by processing and classifying all available information;
  • To be able to analyze a problem (scientific and technical) and frame it appropriately;
  • Capacity for organization, management, and integration into a team.

Prérequis

Basic knowledge or introduction to project management; bibliographic research; understanding of food processing sectors.

Programme

Over the courses, students will have to:

  • Analyze the state of the art;
  • Plan the project organization;
  • Identify and interact with all the actors of the targeted sector;
  • Assess internal and external factors affecting the sector either positively or negatively;
  • Identify the most suitable approaches to meet the needs of a developing identity sector in an insular and intertropical context using an eco-responsible approach;
  • Propose a development plan.

All along the project, students will benefit from tutoring and courses on:

  • Project organization, PDCA, individual tasks and deliverables;
  • Visits to production and/or processing sites;
  • Roasted/high added-value food products;
  • Creation and presentation of the state of the art.
